quick vegas trip...

So last Monday, we were toying with the idea of going to Vegas for the weekend.  The idea came up mostly because of the long weekend but also because we were kind of itching to get out of town and do something different since we did not go anywhere for the holidays.  Towards the end of the week, we had convinced ourselves and set out for a quick trip.

Vegas is such a sensory overload sometimes that I forget to really look around at the hotels.  They really are beautiful and you can tell a lot of time, effort, and thought goes into every little detail.  Sometimes the little details get lost in all the lights and hustle and bustle.  Here are a few examples of things I passed and never noticed before...

Spanish tiles at the Bellagio buffet

mirror and glass cloche displays at Aria
bar stool at Aria
studded wall - Javier's private dining room at Aria

Casino floor at Aria

These last two are hard not to notice.  I just really like them so I had to add them in here =)

Glass lighting at Bellagio
I also really liked the closet and bathroom doors in our room at the Mandalay Bay.  The TV in the bathroom was kind of cool too but we didn't use it.
